I’ve lived in this area for 19 years and absolutely love it. Beautiful, serene, relaxing and great for taking pictures.
There are some downsides too: 1. They don't take reservations on tent sites. All the tent sites are first-come-first-served. Inconvenient when you make your way for 3 hours to find out that everything is occupied; 2. No water or electricity nearby (unless you don't care); 3. Some restrooms are ugly.
A great place for a holiday if you are in or around Oklahoma. The place has got some amazing cabins to spend a couple of nights. Surprisingly a dead place on Sunday. There’s no much activity like river rafting, kayaking or any other camping options on Sunday/Monday.
Great park for camping, especially tent camping. Beautiful views, convenient marina with lot of rental boats. Zip line, go carts, Duck Tour attractions nearby; Great fishing (although OK 1-day fishing/hunting license is heck expensive at $15).
We had a blast! It is quiet and clean, pet friendly and family friendly.
Good camping and fishing for families. Trout fishing usually good.
