Basic room with reasonable rates, but smelled musty. Standard breakfast fare for a small motel, but no attendant. Family-owned by very nice people. Great location across from Beaver's Bend State Park. Kids can walk to a nearby go cart track with a small ice cream/snack bar. Gas station next door. Four stars instead of three because they came to the office past business hours and gave us a room at 11:30 at night when we were in a bind.

If you like to party until 3 in the morning, this might be the place for you. We planned on staying here 2 nights and ended up leaving the 2nd night due to excessive noise from a group who occupied most of the upstairs and decided to run up and down the balcony from room to room and use the beds above us as trampolines. My Brother in Law confronted these people at 3 in the morning on the first night. After complaining to the front desk about the noise he was told that taking matters into his own hands was the best way to handle these situations. We hoped for the best as we all settled in for the second night. No such luck, starting around 10:30 it began again. Things got louder as the night progressed and I decided it was my turn to confront these people. After all, this is what was recommended after I lodged my own complaint about the noise. This quickly escalated and we had the manager, owner, and park rangers out by midnight. We explained the situation to the owner who replied, “Well, we can’t expect them to walk on air up there”. I asked her if she would like to sleep in one of our rooms for the night and see how she liked it. She did not think that was such a great idea. Seeing that she was more than happy to side with those partying over those trying to sleep, we decided it would be best for us to leave the 3 rooms we occupied. I told her we would be leaving and she should refund us for that night or I would be posting this review on social media. She considered that a threat and was not about to refund anything, so here is her review. My advice, plan far enough ahead so you can book a cabin and stay away from this establishment.

We really liked it. The staff were courteous and fast. Our room was really nice and clean. The bed was firm yet soft. The morning breakfast selection was good: cereals, breads and bagels, yogurts, and even some booked eggs and microwave sausage biscuits. Plus, it is located right near everything fun. We will stay there next time!

Location is convenient. Rooms were dated, but clean. Sits Just opposite the road to beavers bend state park. Was pricey for the long weekend.

Amazing place with a wonderful view right in front of beaver bend State Park. The breakfast was good and so was the ambience. There is a wildlife museum opposite the highway and is a must visit for animal enthusiast. There are a couple of good restaurants within the five Mile radius including the grateful head pizza place.
