Jerry, the person in charge of reservations sent us a quote, and as we were ready to pay the down payment, she changed the quote and raised the price for the rental. We dedicated a lot of time planning our trip as we were a large group and had to accommodate many people's needs. This was very unethical on their part and clearly a waste of time for us. The new price requested by them is STILL NOT updated on their website. Very fishy.
Not so good! Stayed the weekend of 10-7-17 at "the last resort" Bradley cabin and Grandma/grandpa cabin. There's a house right next door that seems to serve as the grounds keeper's and maintenance facility for this group of cabins. Big eye sore with multiple vehicles coming and going all the time towing trailers full of junk and trash, driving through the middle of the cabin parking area. Acorns and hickory nuts constantly falling on the tin roofs of the cabins throughout the day and night. Very close to the highway, with constant traffic/log truck noise. Fought off bees and mosquitoes night and day. Many millipedes crawling around in the cabins. Hot tub at Bradly cabin smelled so strong of chlorine we couldn't use it. Cabins are dark and dated. Faucets in bathrooms corroded. Bradley cabin smelled like a wet dog. Hot tub pump or heater cut on and off all night right outside of our bedroom wall. Handrail missing in shower, allowing water to run behind the shower insert. Very overpriced for the quality that you get. If you don't mind roughing it, these are OK. Beaver Bend Lodging has a big variety of cabins for rent but wouldn't recommend these.
My mother & I had a mother and daughter stay at Beavers Bend. All we can say is WOW!!!!! The cabin was so very nice and had everything we needed. The cabin was really out in the woods with all the beautiful trees, it was so quite. The cabin was also so cleaned, smelled so fresh when we walked in. I have never been down that a way we really enjoyed it. All you have to bring is food and clothes they had everything else from silverware, plates, cups, wine glasses, corkscrew, matches, can opener, sugar, spices just everything you need. We just LOVED IT!!!! BEST TRIP EVER!!
We loved Chuka Kana, just the right size for our family. Very quiet peaceful setting. Loved the swing on the porch and the hot tub was perfect. The cabin was well appointed and equipped with everything we needed. Great location! We loved this location we will definitely be back. Close to the park and lake. We were able to walk to The Brewery, Girls Gone Wine and across the road were several places to eat.
Truly the best stocked cabin I have ever stayed in! The Leaping Lizard Cabin was clean, beautifully decorated, and very comfortable for my 18 guests. The beds were large in each room and we fully enjoyed the hot tub! I am hoping to stay in this cabin again!!
