I have stayed at several cabins and hotels in this area. None of them compare to the remoteness yet modern furnishings of these cabins. The well maintained US Wildlife trails are truly endless. The couple that owns and operates these cabins are truly concerned with their occupants having a good time and relaxing.
If I could give it negative stars I would. No respect for people or their families, and they wait for you to leave to think of all extra charges to charge your account. Word to the wise keep an eye on your bank account. Always the victim and think everyone is out to get them. Also, bathroom has carpet and it smells like pee, bad. Very very out dated looks like they just buy stuff at garage sales or pick up off side of road. Beds are like concrete slabs, and LAKEFRONT? HAHAHA. Do not be fooled there is a tiny sliver of lake behind office. All in all one of the worst places I've ever stayed.
Absolutely the worst. Outdated, there's no lake view, carpet in bathroom smells like pee, smelled like mold and mildew, staff is the rudest. If I was able I would give it zero stars. Also, watch your bank accounts they like to charge extra for no reason.
The inside of our cabin looked nothing like the pictures, it was run down, Sheetrock was falling from the ceiling, spider on our bed, cob webs in the corners, and it smelled bad upon our arrival. I posted on Facebook how bad the cabin was and the owner reaponded very unprofessionally along with curse words. He then was very rude during our face to face meeting, I felt threatened, he made my children cry and he kicked us off his property. This was a very disturbing, emotional, and unpleasant experience.
Our stays have always been outstanding and incredibly peaceful. My husband and I stay at this resort 3-4 times a year with friends& family and this place is our haven. The location is perfect for spending quality time together, fishing, hiking, swimming and grilling. Expect to feel at peace here. This place is truly a wilderness spot with all the great (necessary) amenities. If you're looking for Bambi sightings, starry nights, bonfires, chill days with nearby attractions/ parks and a dog friendly spot, this IS THE PLACE. Couples and families will enjoy themselves!
